| Sparrow's Owen (aka Sparrow's Gaston) (*Grange Finn Sparrow x Savings Carrie) |
| Owen is a 2000, grey Connemara/Appendix cross by the famous *Grange Finn Sparrow. He made the long haul down to GA from WV with his half-sister, Taylor. Owen was originally here to be trained, to gain some experience in the show ring, and then to be sold. However, he is such a pleasure to work with and so very sweet, that we couldn't bear to part with him! Nancy had been looking for a pleasure mount for some time and Owen fit the bill! He has really formed a bond with us and is very loving and affectionate. He has a kind and willing nature, and has really enjoyed learning new things. He is currently working on his flat work and has been jumping small courses up to 2'9". He has schooled over ditches, up/down banks and through water with no problems. He has beautiful expressive gaits and his sire's impeccable jumping form-this pony is going to go places! We plan to take him to his first recognized event this fall and hope to hunt him with the Bear Creek Hounds. |

| Owen attended the ACPS Region IV Show on 5/31/08. This was only his second outing and he took Grand Champion Half-bred in-hand. The judge commented, "He is well balanced overall, solid bone, and a great trot. He really reaches under himself". |
| Megan competed Owen in two dressage tests, Intro A & Intro B; he scored a 67.5% & a 68% respectively. He received several 8's and a 9 (!) for his medium walk. |
| Nancy showed Owen in the Jack Benny Walk/Trot class, and in the in-hand classes as well. |
